So I spent three weeks establishing the habit of hitting the gym on the way home from work, it’s been working pretty good, I pull right in without thinking about it, even when I decided not skip a day. Then on Saturday I started walking my brother’s five month old rottweiler and got a much better workout than on the treadmill.
Today I made myself bypass the gym, it’s cardio day, and I’m skipping the treadmill. I go farther because it’s less boring and as an added bonus I get some downhill work, treadmills don’t do down.
I started doing my stretching and calisthenics again today, sort of. I should be doing five sets of eight but I’ll have to work up to it.
