It’s been three weeks now that I’ve been stuck between 180 lbs and 185 lbs, which isn’t all that bad considering I started at 199 lbs on May 26, 2020.
It is hard to not feel some disappointment, three weeks with no seeming change, despite all I’m doing.
NO SEEMING CHANGE, that’s the operative phrase. While my weight has remained fairly constant my body-fat content has been steadily lowering from 22 percent body-fat to 19.1 percent body-fat. I can feel it in the way my clothes fit and am starting to see it in the mirror.
I didn’t take a before picture this time around, one picture of myself at close to 200 lbs is more than enough.
That picture was taken in the middle of July 2016, just about four years ago. Man, I’m tired of the YoYo effect.
I took these pictures today, within seconds of each other, one with my stomach sucked in and the other with it all hanging out.
Here’s the funny part, even though the pictures were taken about the same time my shoulders and arms look slightly better with my gut held tight. Why? I’m not really sure but I’ll take it.
It took sixteen weeks to get there, I’m six weeks in with about 23 lbs to go and ten more weeks to get there. Will I make it? I’m not sure, I don’t at present have access to my weight resistance machine and all gyms are closed in my part of Michigan, I’m making due with a curl barbell and two dumbbells.
To be clear, I’ll make or beat the weight, I’m just not sure about my build. Time will tell.
Lower Body
Squats Three Sets of ten at 40 lbs
Straight Leg Dead-lift Three Sets of ten at 40 lbs
Calf Raises Three Sets of ten at 40 lbs
I ran three miles today, straight thru, no more run, walk, run conditioning workouts. My average time per mile is down, a little surprising since I’m not walking anymore.
Oh well, it should improve over time.
