Morning Stretching and Calisthenics Routine 2020
I was all set to hit the floor running today, I had last night off so I could actually do my morning workout in the real morning, not when I wake up, sometime between twelve and two pm.
I had my Ab Wheel in hand, ready to start when I remembered it’s two weeks until my 59th birthday, not really a milestone but we work with what we have.
So what if I’m almost 59, why delay my workout?
Because I recorded this one and it took some time to set up my camera and lights. Some surprises happened! When I started this workout nine years ago it took just under twenty minutes, today it took just over fourteen minutes and it puzzled me why. Then I remembered I used to do ten push-ups at the beginning and I took a full minute between exercises, today I did no push-ups and rested only thirty seconds between exercises.
Well shoot, what a day!
Not only did I find my stretching and calisthenics workout takes even less time than it used to but I broke through that stubborn 182 to 185 pound weight plateau I’ve been worried about. Dropping seventeen pounds in just three weeks was awesome!
Being stuck there for four weeks, not so much.
But I knew if I could just stay the course the magic would start to happen, today it did!
When I started this odyssey on May 26, 2020 I weighed 199.8, and yes, I claim that point two pounds, I didn’t weigh two hundred pound but could not get any closer and I don’t want to!
Yesterday I weighed 181.8 pounds, close enough to 182 to make no difference, or so I thought. Today I weigh 177.6 pounds with a body-fat percentage of 17.8.
