Stretching and Calisthenics Day
Tuesday’s work-out was a wake up call, I was taking too long to do less than I did before I admitted to myself I was hurt and needed to get it taken care of. Twenty-two minutes is two minutes too long for my twenty-minutes a day work-out plan.
That was Tuesday.
This is today, twelve minutes for the Stretching and Calisthenics part of my routine, another four-and-a-half minutes for my Body Weight Squats for a total of sixteen-and-a-half minutes. Which leaves me with just enough time to do my three-minute Ab Wheel Routine, when my suture line is sufficiently healed to start it up again.
It’s good to know I’m getting back on track, I can’t say I am back on track because two years ago, before my hernia, I would rip through my work-out in about seventeen minutes and barely break a sweat. Sweat was pouring off of me today!
Stretching and Calisthenics Routine
Standing Bicycle Crunch Five sets of eight.
Horse Stance Cross Punch Five sets of eight.
Oblique Knee Raise Five sets of eight.
Front Kick Five sets of eight.
Leaning Knee Raise Five sets of eight.
Round House Kick Five sets of eight.
Front Kick Five sets of eight.
Back Kick Five sets of eight.
Body Weight Squats Five sets of ten.
Unfortunately I have an issue with my right knee, I see a doctor tomorrow about it and I’m hoping it’s not very serious, yet. If my hernia taught me anything it’s get it fixed NOW or it’s liable to get worse. Some things just won’t heal on their own.
