Stretching and Calisthenics Day
This part of my weekly routine is going really well, I’m getting faster at doing the moves and more limber so I’m doing them better and stretching a bit more. I used to do ten to twenty Jumping Jacks to warm up then I realized the Ab Wheel actually helps warm up my legs and the calisthenics themselves are so simple that the first set of eight actually warms you up.
I did five sets of three on the Ab Wheel today, I’m going to shoot for seven sets of three on Tuesday and if I can do that I should be back to the full ten sets of three by next Saturday.
Stretching and Calisthenics Routine
Ab Wheel Five Sets of Three
Standing Bicycle Crunch Five sets of eight.
Horse Stance Cross Punch Five sets of eight.
Oblique Knee Raise Five sets of eight.
Front Kick Five sets of eight.
Leaning Knee Raise Five sets of eight.
Round House Kick Five sets of eight.
Front Kick Five sets of eight.
Back Kick Five sets of eight.
Body Weight Squats Five sets of ten.
I decided to stop running for a little while so I can build up strength in my legs so my knee will hurt less when I run, but I need to do some kind of cardio so I moved on to the elliptical machine for a while. I used to have an elliptical machine at home but it bored me almost to tears to use it, but Planet Fitness has a bank of TV’s in front of the cardio equipment so If I get a set of earbuds I can watch the news or something.
